1. EDITORIAL: Notes from the Front!

As the war in Iraq subsides, and as the focus of our military shifts from war to peacekeeping, I wanted to pass along a note of an event that took place at the outset of the war, which received absolutely no 'press' whatever.  It is a piece of the puzzle that many will probably never see (or will deny), but it shows a great deal about our Father's will in this matter...

I  am sure that all of you heard about the sandstorm in Iraq at the beginning of the war (the worst in 100 years some say) and the drenching rain that followed the next day. Our troops were bogged down and couldn't move effectively. The media was already wondering if the troops were stuck in a "quagmire", and dire predictions of doom and gloom came pouring forth from the left wing media.  What they did not report, however, was that after the weather had cleared, the Marine Division that was mired the worst, looked out at the plain they were just about to cross, and what they say astonished them all.

What did they see?
Thousands of anti-tank and anti-personnel mines had been uncovered by the wind and then washed off by the rain. If they had proceeded as planned, many lives would have undoubtedly been lost. As it was, the marines simply drove around the mines and let the demolition teams destroy them.

Praises be to His mighty name! Thank you, Father, for protecting our young men and women!

One  person once asked George Washington if he thought the Father was on his side. His reply is reported to be, "It is not that the Father should be on our side, but that we be on His."

2. FEATURE ARTICLE:  The Divine Name Bible TM

Please permit me to begin this article with an apology:  It has been two months since we have written a copy of "A Matter of Faith", and I wanted to apologize for that lapse.  Between work, and the labor we are putting forth into repairing the Word and restoring the Divine Names to Scripture, there simply has not been time to write as I have in the past.  Please forgive me for this lack of contact.

I wanted to tell you though, that the labor being put forth to restore of the Divine Names back into Scripture has been extensive, and the work is progressing at a steady, albeit slow, pace.

For whatever reason, I began working in the Old Testament, from the last book (Malaki) backward to the beginning. I am currently laboring in the Book of Yechezqel (Ezekiel), whose name means, "EL Strengthens"...

The impact that this labor has had on my life is overwhelming.  Having 'restored' the works of the Minor Prophets has been an eye opening experience.  And, delving into the original Hebrew texts has shown me that not only have the Divine Names been 'edited', but other aspects of His Word have been edited as well.  And my anger with the 'editors' is escalating daily.

The deeper I delve into this study, the greater the burden laid on my heart becomes to complete the task.  Somewhere in The Letters, in speaking about the gift of teaching, and the power that teachers have, I commented on the fact that one misplaced word, or one out of place thought, could totally distort the meaning of an entire passage or teaching.  Little did I know how prophetic that thought was when I wrote it. Nor did I know how profoundly the 'teachers' of the past have distorted Elohim's Word!

And, just so you know, it does not matter one bit which 'Bible translation' you are using today, beloved, because none are pure.  And that is a very sad testimonial...

I have been wondering why the Yahudi (Jews) (The name means, "YAH is praised") have permitted the mistakes that we see in our Bibles today.  After all, isn't the Old Testament their responsibility?  As I thought and prayed about this though, the answer finally came to me.  And it is an answer that really should not shock or surprise us - although it did catch me off guard somewhat.

Why would the Yahudi allow translational errors to exist in our Bibles today?

For the simple fact that in our Bibles, the translations that exist of the Old Testament, are followed by the New Testament!!!  Think about that...

Those who knew the Old Testament better than any others alive, were not about to enhance a product that teaches about the Risen Messiah - Whom they rejected and continue to reject.  Simply put, those who were truly in the know about the Old Testament, when the Bible was first translated for us, simply did not care if our Bible translations were correct or not.  In Romans 11:28, Shaul (Paul) said, "From the standpoint of the gospel they are enemies for your sake, but from the standpoint of Elohim's choice they are beloved for the sake of the fathers."  We must never lose sight of this fact!

Nor can we ever lose sight of the fact that we must continue to love and embrace the Yahudi, because they are the first!  They are the chosen beloved of the Master.  Today, their eyes are closed to the fullness of the Messiah - so that we can be united with them in our Father's kingdom.  Their temporary loss is our gain!

But, at the same time, their estrangement has meant that we are all seeing dimly today.  They see the New Testament as a false teaching, while we have seen the Old Testament through untrained eyes.  While this is as Yahovah has determined and permitted, I truly do believe that the dimness is about to be eradicated, and our vision is about to improve radically.  I know that my vision has improved significantly since this work began, and I look forward to seeing even more clearly in the future.

Prayerfully, you will see these things too!

There is little doubt in my mind though, that this work must be completed!  And to that end, I want you to know that for as long as our Master permits and provides, we shall press on to the mark...  Please continue to pray for us.  We are laboring hard and steadfastly, and your prayers are sustaining us.
