1. EDITORIAL: Serious Times!
Having read The Letters, and having communicated with me sometime in the past, all of you know well enough that I am not an
alarmist. Nevertheless, as a student of Scripture, especially the Prophetic Word, I have been growing increasingly alert as recent
events have transpired in the Middle East. Throughout the past months, we have all been watching a drama unfold that has been
prophesied for thousands of years, but we all may not have recognized these events for what they really are. Additionally, the
tentative (and extremely fragile) peace accord that was reached earlier this week, is only another confirmation that things are
about to get ugly. Very ugly!
(Many of you also know that I am exceptionally cautious in the use of my words, whenever I discuss the end times, or the reality
of the Second Coming of Christ. And, as you know, I don't teach in a manner so as to "cram" my belief's upon anyone - I always
urge that comparison be made between what I might be teaching and God's Word, and whenever possible, I also try to provide
every Scriptural reference that I can find on a topic - to help in the discovery of truth.) The fact remains, however, that I believe
with all of my heart, soul and strength, that Jesus Christ is exactly Who He says He is, and that He will do everything that He said
He was going to do - including everything leading up to His return!
Now that statement, "including everything leading up to His return" involves a period of tremendous tribulation for this world. A
literal period of "hell on earth" - which will culminate in an outpouring of God's wrath upon an unrepentant society - and which will
end with the battle of Armageddon, and the return of Christ!
So, why am I presenting this to you, in this fashion - today?
I received a report earlier this week from a very "connected" political source, confirmed by a second source, expressing extreme
concern for the immediate future of our country and world. It appears that the next three weeks - leading up to our national
elections - is a time of exceptional caution and worry for all of our political and military leaders. The U.S. intelligence community,
as well as the Israeli and British intelligence arms, are sounding the alarm as well - to their respective leaders... We the people,
however, are not being told the entire truth!
While I am certainly exposing my flank for criticism and ridicule, I am nevertheless compelled to present a word of caution to you;
the one's I hold dearest to my heart, because - as the old saying goes, "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure."
God's Word says, "But keep on the alert at all times, praying in order that you may have strength to escape all these things that
are about to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man" (Luke 21:36). Perhaps a portion of my walk with God has been for
the purpose of being a watchman! If so, I am writing today to sound an alarm in your hearts, because, as the following
note (s) will explain - it might just be time to prepare your homes and your hearts for some very difficult days.
SUBJECT - URGENT: TERRORIST ATTACK!
Earlier this week, two confidential sources, one described as "exceptionally reliable", say that we can expect major terrorists
attacks in the U.S. in the near future, including the release of anthrax. I am told that this is not just a rumor, but to take it seriously.
Sound advice, therefore, is to "prepare for the worse," and make sure that you have plenty of water and food available, and your
gas tank is full.
One source firmly believes that World War III is, "at the door."

The reports I have received relay that, as many have long suspected, if these terrorists act before our elections, the President will
declare an emergency, as well as martial law, and will suspend the Constitution and the elections.
On Tuesday I received another report - from a totally different source, that supports the concern voiced above:
Sunday, Oct. 15, 2000 3:27 p.m. EST Palestinian TV Calls for Violence. Arutz-7 reports that Palestinian Television continued
over the weekend to re-broadcast excerpts from a Friday sermon in the Zayed bin Sultan Aal Nahyan mosque in Gaza.
Translation supplied by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI):
"The Jews are Jews, whether Labor or Likud. ... They do not have any moderates or any advocates of peace. They are all liars.
'O brother believers, the criminals, the terrorists are the Jews, who have butchered our children, orphaned them, widowed our
women and desecrated our holy places and sacred sites. They are the terrorists. They are the ones who must be butchered and
killed, as Allah the Almighty said: 'Fight them: Allah will torture them at your hands, and will humiliate them and will help you to
overcome them, and will relieve the minds of the believers. ... The cost and the dowry of this bride, the dowry of this paradise, is
that we fight in the path of Allah, and kill and be killed. Allah has purchased from the believers their persons and their property in
return for the promise that they shall have paradise, for they fight in the cause of Allah, and they slay the enemy and are slain. This
is a promise that He [Allah] has made incumbent upon Himself, as set out in the Torah, the Gospel, and the Koran. ... The Jews
are the allies of the Christians, and the Christians are the allies of the Jews, despite the enmity that exists between them. The
enmity between the Jews and the Christians is deep, but all of them are in agreement against the monotheists, against those who
say, 'There is no God but Allah and Muhammad is his messenger' - that is, they are against you, O Muslims. ... Even if an
agreement of Gaza is signed, we shall not forget Haifa, and Acre, and the Galilee, and Jaffa, and the Triangle and the Negev, and
the rest of our cities and villages. It is only a matter of time. ... Have no mercy on the Jews, no matter where they are, in any
country. Fight them, wherever you are. Wherever you meet them, kill them. Wherever you are, kill those Jews and those
Americans who are like them..."
The last sentence alone should raise the hair on the back of your neck!
In addition to these reports, many Christians with the prophetic gift have been sounding an ever increasing alarm, that the End
Time Prophetic Word of God is about to be fulfilled.
Clearly, the signs of the times indicate that the world is uneasy. Clearly, the events taking place before our very eyes are
distressing... Unless you have studied God's Word, however, it might just appear as if humanity were merely being like humanity
has been for thousands of years, and that things will work themselves out - just as they have in the past. Through the study of His
Word though, I can tell you that in my estimation, these are not normal times, and the events transpiring today are not normal
events.
I believe that we are standing at the precipice of the long prophesied period of tribulation. This is my personal belief though, and
has very little to do with the fact that the Middle East is about to convulse. What the reports above clearly indicate, however, is
that those convulsions may very well include the reality that factions living in this country will begin to carry-out a Jihad (holy war)
against the United States in general - and against the Jews and Christians living here specifically.
My personal belief's aside, however, major terrorist attacks within our boundaries will effect all of our lives, and I wanted you to
have time to prepare.
Prayerfully, there will be no terrorist attacks upon the soil of the US. Prayerfully, the world will find calm, so that we can have
more time to reach the lost. Prayerfully, we, our children and grandchildren will have peace in our lives... Realistically speaking
though, IF Scripture is true (and I believe that it is) then there is ultimately going to be an end. And, if in fact there is going to be
an end, then there is going to be a generation of people who will not have peace. It would be absurd and conceited to think that
we could not be that generation.

I have known MaryAnn through the internet for at least four years, and have watched as she has faithfully and painstakingly invented and reinvented her web site - in order to serve our loving Lord Jesus - in ministry to the youth of our world.
Can an individual be Gothic and still abide as a Christian? You will know the truthful answer to this question (if you don't already) after you spend some time at this site.

3. FEATURE ARTICLE: Just some personal thoughts...
I wanted to jot down some personal thoughts, as relate to this month's editorial message, because it's just too easy in this
electronic age to make remarkable statements, without at least attempting to keep things properly aligned. This ministry is well-
balanced, however, and is aligned in faith with our loving Lord Jesus Christ. Whatever is going to befall this nation and world is
clearly in God's hands. Our prayers are important - but our prayers must always be submissive to the will of God. "May Your will
be done" cannot be a catch phrase, but must be a faithful desire!
Perhaps the most significant fact that every Christian must digest, is that our God promised that although we might experience
tribulation in our lives, we would never feel His wrath. Letter #18 - Tribulation & The Rapture, clearly reveals my understanding
of Scripture on this issue.
Daniel's friends, Shadrach, Mesach and Abed-Nego walked (Actually, they danced with the Lord) in the midst of the fire, and
neither they nor their clothing were harmed - or even smelled of smoke... Clearly, we must know that an atomic bomb can fall
into our laps and God can save us from harm if HE chooses. We are His children, and our lives are entirely His to do with as He
needs and desires. Our faith must be so!
Anthrax is a killer! According to everything I've read, Anthrax can enter the body through the skin, through inhalation and
through ingestion. Once active in a body, without proper treatment (Penicillin is the primary tool used against Anthrax) the
estimated life expectancy is something like 2 days. And yet, like Paul, we can be bitten by this viper and still walk away unharmed
- if God so chooses! Our faith must be so!
Philip walked the road for God, and disappeared from one spot, only to reappear in another town miles away from where he
was. Our God is the same today as He was then, and if He so chooses to move us from harms way, He can do so today! Our
faith must be so!
I wholeheartedly believe that we are about to experience the trials of the tribulation period. (I am not saying emphatically that the
tribulation period is going to begin within the next three weeks. The Lord has NOT given me a Prophetic message to spread.
BUT, IT CERTAINLY COULD BEGIN THIS SOON!).
If this is so, things are going to get very difficult for humanity. If we maintain our faith though, and keep our focus on Jesus Christ,
things are also going to get very exciting for His children. Exciting, because we are going to have opportunities to glorify Him in
ways that are unlike anything that has ever been seen or done before.
We must maintain a faith that allows Him to work through whatever tribulation happens to befall us, so that when it is all said and
done, we will all hear, "Well done thou good and faithful servant"...
Our faith must be so!
Finally, beloved, with regard to our national elections on November 7, 2000... Should the Lord protect us and permit our
elections to proceed, it is imperative for ALL Christians - worldwide - to immediately set aside 5 minutes to read and digest the

Events are taking place so rapidly in the middle east, that I thought it best to forward an addendum to this mornings Newsletter...
The following is an excerpt from a report out of Israel, as well as a significant reinforcement of the thoughts already expressed.
Additionally, there is a web site address (URL) that you can visit to send off an immediate petition to President Clinton - to NOT
abandon Israel...
I wholeheartedly pray that this update is helpful, and that the Lord is accompanying these notes with His peace, power and love.

Shabbat Shalom.
In Israel it is not a very peaceful Shabbat. Moments after 4 pm Israel time, the deadline for implementation by BOTH sides of the
cease-fire agreement, Palestinians on the south side of Nablus, hiding behind olive trees, began shooting at Israeli soldiers. There
was also gunfire in Ramallah and other locations late on Friday, apparently in deliberate defiance of the deadline. Today's death
toll stands at 10.
Earlier today on Palestinian television, Yasser Arafat issued a formal call for Jihad against Israel. This is a declaration of war and
gives every Palestinian the green light to continue the violence and terrorism. This, on the eve of the Arab summit tomorrow in
Cairo, is an ominous sign, indeed. Twenty one Arab nations meet Saturday and Sunday in Cairo to determine their position and
their plan of action regarding Israel.
Please take note: The violence began on Rosh Hashana, the Feast of Trumpets, the biblical New Year, and the Arab League is
meeting on the last day of Succot, the Feast of Tabernacles and on Sunday which is Simchat Torah, the day of celebrating the
Torah, the Word of God. Not at all accidental from a prophetic and biblical point of view!!! The biblical holidays have always
held great significance in God's timetable, even when the Church has been totally ignorant of that fact. God is not!!! This is a
critically important weekend... do not take it lightly.
Let me encourage each of you to do the following as soon as possible: Mike Evans, longtime bible teacher and news reporter
regarding Israel, has a website on which is a petition to the President of the United States - to stop betraying Israel and follow the
biblical mandate. Please go to his website, http://www.savejerusalem.org and click on the "Petition to the President", sign it to be
added to the list of born again Christians from around the world (NOT just Americans) who are registering their support of Israel
and God's people at this time.
Some may say, "It won't do any good..." To that, let me just say that as Bible believers we MUST take our stand. I urge you to
do so. Whether the President pays attention to the hundreds of thousands of signatures he is going to receive, or not, is not the
issue. Jesus has called each of us to be responsible in our deeds and actions, and to stand and be counted...
The Lord promises His blessings upon those who do! May your lives be richly blessed...

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem this shabbat. Pray for the Church to wake up and be everything we need to be in this crucial hour
of history.
